Nexus BioEd Solutions is a bioscience education social enterprise. We provide personalised tutoring, mentoring and academic support across the biosciences, with free and subsidised places for learners who face financial, social or educational barriers.
Nexus BioEd Solutions tracks its social impact alongside its paid work, not instead of it.
Free, subsidised and paid places, tracked separately, each year.
Hours delivered through the Access and Opportunity Programme.
Interviews secured, courses progressed to, confidence gained.
Schools, colleges, universities and community organisations.
Across UK bioscience education, many capable students and early-career researchers lack access to personalised teaching, academic confidence, and practical guidance on their next step. This is felt most by learners from low income families, people who have fled war and conflict, international students adjusting to a new education system, and those without an established academic network.
This isn't a hypothetical problem for us. It's one our founder saw directly, over years of independent tutoring and mentoring, before Nexus BioEd Solutions existed as a company.

Our story Our social impactCommercial activity helps create the financial capacity to provide free and subsidised educational opportunities.
Paid tutoring, mentoring, consultancy, workshops and digital products.
A proportion of activity and resource supports social-impact initiatives.
Free and subsidised places through the Access and Opportunity Programme.
Improved academic confidence, skills, progression and opportunity.
Nexus BioEd Solutions was built on a commitment to supporting people before they become clients, customers or statistics.
Where capacity allows, we prioritise guidance, signposting, mentoring and accessible educational support for learners who may not otherwise have access to personalised help. Our goal is to create pathways into opportunity, not barriers to support.
Being a social enterprise doesn't mean every service is free. Our paid tutoring, mentoring, consultancy and digital resources generate the income that lets us offer free or heavily subsidised places through the Access and Opportunity Programme, rather than relying on goodwill alone.
Ask about free or subsidised supportWe invite universities, schools, colleges, community organisations and potential funders to discuss educational partnerships, consultancy and social-impact initiatives.
Every tutor is vetted for genuine subject expertise and Enhanced DBS checked, founded and led by a working bioscience lecturer with SFHEA accreditation, not a generic tutoring brand.
Every session is led by a genuine bioscience specialist, not a general-subject tutor.
From GCSE biology through to SFHEA and academic leadership, under one trusted provider.
Learner-centred practice informed by current pedagogy and learning technologies.
Every session starts with your actual syllabus, deadline or research question, not a generic lesson plan. We build a personal learning plan around your specific goals, track progress session to session, and adjust as you go, so support stays relevant as your needs change.
