Nexus BioEd Solutions Ltd was founded to close a gap we saw across UK education: talented students and researchers navigating biosciences without access to genuinely expert, personalised support. Built on over a decade of Higher Education teaching experience, and years of independent tutoring and mentoring before the company existed, Nexus brings together tutoring, mentoring and consultancy under one trusted, credentialed provider.
Nexus is run as a social enterprise. Alongside our paid services, we offer free or heavily subsidised tutoring, mentoring, CV support and interview preparation to people who would otherwise struggle to access good quality bioscience education, including learners from low income families and people who had fled war and conflict, alongside ongoing STEM school outreach work. Nexus BioEd Solutions grew from years of teaching, mentoring and supporting learners in the life sciences, both at university and independently. The aim has always been to help people gain confidence, develop research and professional skills, and access opportunities that might otherwise feel out of reach.

Every tutor at Nexus BioEd Solutions is a genuine subject specialist in biology, chemistry or a related bioscience field, vetted for teaching ability and subject depth before joining, and Enhanced DBS checked given that many of our learners are under eighteen. Our founder holds a PhD, is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), and is a Member of the Royal Society of Biology (MRSB), you can read more on his background above.
