Q:What subjects and levels does Nexus BioEd Solutions tutor?

A:We tutor Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, from GCSE through A-Level, Foundation Year, undergraduate and postgraduate level, including PhD viva preparation, exam mock preparation and academic writing support.

Q:Are your tutors qualified?

A:Yes. Every tutor is vetted for genuine subject expertise before joining and is Enhanced DBS checked. Nexus BioEd Solutions was founded by a working UK Higher Education lecturer, qualified to PhD level with HEA teaching accreditation (SFHEA).

Q:Do you offer online tutoring, in-person tutoring, or both?

A:Both. Sessions can be delivered online via secure video call from anywhere in the UK or internationally, or in person where location and availability allow.

Q:Which platform do you use for online tutoring?

A:Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WhatsApp or Google Meet, whichever works best for you. Just let us know your preference when you book.

Q:Can I try a session before I book or pay?

A:Yes. We offer a free, no-obligation introductory consultation for tutoring, mentoring and consultancy, so you can ask questions and check we're the right fit before committing to a paid session. Get in touch to arrange yours.

Q:How do I book and pay for a tutoring or mentoring session?

A:Choose your subject, level, date, time and number of hours on the Booking page, then confirm your details and choose PayPal or bank transfer on the payment page.

Q:What payment methods do you accept?

A:We accept PayPal and direct bank transfer. Card details are never stored by Nexus BioEd Solutions. Bank transfer details are sent securely by email after checkout, along with a unique payment reference. See our Payments & policies page for full details.

Q:What is your cancellation and refund policy?

A:You can receive a full refund or reschedule for free if you cancel more than 24 hours before your session. A rescheduling fee may apply for cancellations within 24 hours. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5 to 10 working days.

Q:Can I buy a package of hours instead of paying per session?

A:Yes. Most tutoring and mentoring services offer discounted 5-hour and 10-hour packages. Book 5 or 10 hours in one go on the Booking page and the package rate is applied automatically.

Q:How does academic mentoring differ from tutoring?

A:Tutoring focuses on subject content, exam technique and coursework for a specific syllabus. Mentoring is broader academic and career support, covering study skills, research planning, academic writing, Fellowship applications and career progression, and is also available as ongoing monthly plans.

Q:Do you provide services for schools, colleges or universities?

A:Yes, through our Educational Consultancy service, covering curriculum development, assessment design, teaching excellence, EdTech and STEM consultancy. Engagements are scoped individually, with a free initial consultation. Contact us for a tailored quotation.

Q:Is the bioscience supplies shop available yet?

A:Our bioscience educational supplies range, covering teaching resources, laboratory materials and STEM practical kits, is coming soon. You can register your interest or request a bulk quote via our Contact page in the meantime.

Q:How quickly will I hear back after booking or ordering?

A:You'll receive an automated confirmation immediately after checkout, and we'll follow up personally by email, usually within one working day, to confirm your session date and time.
